Weatherization is an important first step for a home with fewer greenhouse gas emissions, because a home that is sealed and insulated uses less energy to heat and cool the space.

While there are many aspects of your home’s weatherization that you can assess and fix on your own, a Home Energy Assessment is a great way to get started, and you can schedule a free assessment through Mass Save. Mass Save® is a coalition of electric and natural gas utilities and energy efficiency service providers that work together to promote energy efficiency: Berkshire Gas, Blackstone Gas Company, Cape Light Compact, Columbia Gas, Eversource, Liberty Utilities, National Grid and Unitil.

Mass Save® works with a network of experts who can inspect your home free of cost, generating a custom home energy report and information on rebates and incentives for the products and improvements you’ll need to cut down on your energy usage and make your home more comfortable. This service is available to homeowners, renters, and landlords, and you have the option of working with a Home Performance Contractor (HPC) who can also help you take further steps towards a clean energy home, including replacing your windows, installing cleaner options for heating and cooling, and even potentially adding solar energy.

We’re In This Together
